The gap between where you are and where you need to be

Most high-performing leaders hit a ceiling that skill alone cannot break through. Here is how we reframe that challenge.

What we hear from leaders

  • Decisions feel heavier as the stakes climb higher
  • Feedback loops have disappeared — nobody tells you the truth anymore
  • Strategic vision is clear, but execution bogs down in politics
  • Work-life boundaries have blurred past recognition
  • Succession planning feels abstract and distant

What coaching unlocks

  • A thinking partner who challenges assumptions safely
  • Structured reflection that converts experience into wisdom
  • Political acumen without compromising personal integrity
  • Renewed energy through intentional boundary design
  • A leadership legacy you can articulate and build toward

Coaching engagements we offer

01

One-on-one executive coaching

Confidential, structured sessions held fortnightly or monthly. Each engagement begins with a 360-degree diagnostic and culminates in a personalised leadership development plan. Sessions are conducted in person across Tasmania or via secure video link for interstate and remote leaders. Typical engagements run for six to twelve months, with clear milestones reviewed at the midpoint.

02

Leadership transition support

Stepping into a new role — whether a promotion, a lateral move, or an external appointment — is one of the highest-risk moments in a career. We provide intensive ninety-day transition coaching that covers stakeholder mapping, early-win strategy, cultural diagnosis, and the psychological adjustment required to lead from a new position of authority.

03

Team alignment workshops

When executive teams struggle with alignment, the entire organisation feels it. Our facilitated half-day and full-day workshops use structured dialogue, real-time feedback, and scenario planning to surface hidden tensions and build genuine commitment to shared priorities. Each workshop is preceded by individual interviews to ensure psychological safety from the outset.

04

Board and governance coaching

Boards face unique dynamics: part-time oversight of full-time complexity. We coach board chairs and non-executive directors on effective challenge, constructive dissent, and the delicate art of governing without managing. This offering is particularly valuable for organisations navigating growth, regulatory change, or leadership succession at the CEO level.

How a coaching engagement unfolds

Every engagement follows a rhythm of discovery, depth, and integration — adapted to your context and pace.

Discovery conversation

A complimentary forty-five-minute call where we explore your current reality, aspirations, and whether coaching is the right intervention. There is no obligation and no sales pressure — just an honest exchange.

Diagnostic and goal-setting

We gather data through a combination of psychometric tools, stakeholder interviews, and self-reflection exercises. Together, we distil this into three to five coaching objectives that are specific, meaningful, and measurable.

Ongoing coaching sessions

Sessions run for sixty to ninety minutes and are held at a cadence that suits your calendar. Between sessions, you receive targeted reflection prompts and micro-experiments designed to accelerate insight transfer into daily leadership behaviour.

Midpoint review

Halfway through the engagement, we pause to evaluate progress against your original objectives. This is the moment to recalibrate, deepen focus, or expand scope based on what has emerged.

Integration and close

The final sessions focus on consolidating gains, building self-coaching habits, and creating a forward-looking development plan that sustains momentum well beyond our formal engagement.

Questions leaders commonly ask

Mentoring draws on the mentor's experience to offer advice. Consulting diagnoses problems and prescribes solutions. Coaching does neither. Instead, it creates a structured space for you to think more clearly, challenge your own assumptions, and develop your own answers — answers that are far more likely to stick because they come from within your own leadership context.

Sessions are conversational but purposeful. You arrive with a topic — a decision, a relationship, a pattern you want to shift — and we explore it together using powerful questions, frameworks where useful, and honest reflection. Most leaders describe sessions as the most productive sixty minutes of their fortnight.

Absolutely. Everything discussed in coaching remains between coach and client. Where an organisation sponsors the coaching, we agree on a limited set of themes to report on — never specific content. Confidentiality is the foundation of trust, and trust is the foundation of effective coaching.

Many leaders report shifts in perspective and behaviour within the first three sessions. Deeper, sustained change — the kind that reshapes how you lead under pressure — typically emerges over three to six months. We track progress against your stated objectives so results are visible, not assumed.

Yes. We work with leaders across Australia and internationally via secure video conferencing. The quality of remote coaching is excellent when both parties commit to distraction-free time. In-person sessions are available throughout Tasmania and by arrangement in mainland capitals.
